Alcott's sister May died while living in London, she left her child Louisa to Alcott. In 1880 LuLu came to live with Alcott, she took great pleasure in watching the child grow; told her stories and published them as Lulu's Library. Bright yellow cloth boards, stamped with color illustration of children, gilt title, brown lettering to spine. Upper spine end mildly frayed. Inscription to f.e.p., mild toning of pages to edges.
